Commissioner Lü Xinhua delivered the exequaturs to the new consuls-general of New Zealand and Sweden to the Hong Kong SAR on separate occasions at the Commissioner's Office on 12 November 2008.

 

Commissioner Lü welcomed Mme. Adele Bryant and Mr. Lars Danielsson, the new CGs of New Zealand and Sweden respectively, to serve in Hong Kong, and introduced to them the successful implementation of "one country, two systems" in Hong Kong over the past 11 years since the SAR's return to China, aspects of Hong Kong that are to their interest and the responsibilities of the Commissioner's Office. He also expressed his willingness to work with the two CGs to promote Hong Kong's economic, trade, cultural and personnel exchanges and cooperation with New Zealand and Sweden.

 

Mme. Adele Bryant and Mr. Lars Danielsson, for their part, thanked the commissioner for his frank, cordial and friendly introductions and stated their readiness to enhance exchanges and cooperation with the Commissioner's Office in a joint effort to advance the friendly ties and cooperation between their respective countries and Hong Kong.
