The Commissioner's Office held an executive reception for the year 2011 on 20 December. Commissioner Lü Xinhua, Deputy Commissioners Hong Xiaoyong and and Li Yuanming as well as officials from various departments of the Commissioner's Office welcomed over 200 friends from the Government of the Hong Kong SAR, the education, media and business communities and public organizations.

Deputy Commissioner Li Yuanming, in his toast, reviewed domestic and international situation in 2011, congratulated Hong Kong in realizing steady development against the backdrop of greater turbulence in world economy and envisaged its even better future with support from the Central Government and hard work of the SAR Government and Hong Kong people. Deputy Commissioner Li pointed out that the Commissioner's Office has made tremendous achievements in the past year, in vigorously supporting the SAR Government in foreign relations and cooperation with the rest of the world as well as in safeguarding rights and interests of overseas Hong Kong people. He expressed appreciation on behalf of the Commissioner's Office to various departments of the SAR government and other friends.
