1. Hong Kong residents born in the Chinese mainland or Hong Kong SAR and possessing the Chinese origin, if applying the Chinese visa with foreign passports for the first time, are requested to provide the original documents with their photocopies of the Certificate of Change of Chinese Nationality from the Immigration Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government.
2. Rules concerning visa application of foreign businessman residing in Taiwan
Applicants may submit application in person to the visa section of the Consular Department of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of PRC in Hong Kong SAR.
(1) Applicants may submit their visa applications through any travel agency registered in Hong Kong SAR or relatives and friends living in Hong Kong SAR.
(2) Applicants shall present valid passports, the residential permits (copy or fax) for aliens issued by competent Taiwan authority, valid residential permits (with photocopies) in their passports or residence certificates of other forms.
3. Visa Application for minor people (younger than 18 years old)
Parents of minor applicants (younger than 18 years) may apply for them. For first-time application, they shall provide the following documents:
(1) Birth certificate of the minor applicant, as well as a copy of the said certificate.
(2) Original Identification documents of minor's parents (passports or ID card etc.) with photocopies.
(3) Valid passport, one passport photograph and one completed Chinese visa application form.
4. Foreign passport holders of Chinese descent
In case of applications filed for the first time by foreign passport holders of Chinese descent with new passports, either the original Chinese travel documents previously used by the applicants or their foreign original passports with records of Chinese visas should be produced with photocopies. For minor's application, please refer to No.3 of notes for attention.
