On November 27, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao sent a message of condolences to his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh over the heavy casualties caused by the coordinated terrorist attacks in India's financial capital of Mumbai on November 26. In his message, Wen said the Chinese government strongly condemned such terrorist attacks, noting that the government is firmly opposed to terrorism of any form. On behalf of the Chinese government and in his own name, Wen expressed deep grief for the victims of the attacks and conveyed sincere condolences to the relatives of the victims and those injured in the violence. On the same day, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi also sent a message of condolences to his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee. |
